Cohn, Edwin Joseph
(17 dic. 1892, Nueva York, N.Y., EE.UU.–1 oct. 1953, Boston, Mass.).

Bioquímico estadounidense. Obtuvo su Ph.D. en la Universidad de Chicago y enseñó en Harvard de 1922–53. Estudió los componentes de las moléculas proteicas, correlacionando sus estructuras con sus propiedades físicas y determinando los principios básicos que constituyeron los cimientos para proseguir el estudio de las proteínas. En la segunda guerra mundial dirigió un equipo que diseñó métodos para la producción en gran escala de fracciones del plasma humano para el tratamiento de los heridos.
